RESUMO
Las catinonas sintéticas forman parte de las denominadas "Nuevas Sustancias Psicoactivas (NSP)" y representan un gran problema debido al aumento progresivo de su popularidad en el mercado de las drogas de abuso, representando un reto para el campo de la toxicología. La detección analítica de estas sustancias presenta grandes inconvenientes, principalmente por la gran variedad estructural y la complejidad de la matriz de análisis, estos factores deben ser abarcados, por lo que se requieren avances en la detección analítica de estas sustancias, que respondan a la situación actual. En el presente informe se hace una revisión que permite recopilar información acerca de la química y la toxicología de las catinonas sintéticas, el estado actual en términos de regulación y consumo en el panorama nacional (Colombia) e internacional, las tendencias actuales en la detección analítica de estas sustancias y los avances recientes en la detección electroquímica
Synthetic cathinones are part of the so-called «New Psychoactive Substances (NPS)» and represent a major problem due to the progressive increase in their popularity in the market for drugs of abuse, representing a challenge for the field of toxicology. The analytical detection of these substances presents major drawbacks, mainly due to the great structural variety and complexity of the analysis matrix, these factors must be covered, which is why advances in the analytical detection of these substances are required, which respond to the current situation. In this report, a review is made that allows information on the chemistry and toxicology of synthetic cathinones, the current status in terms of regulation and consumption in the national (Colombia) and international scene, current trends in analytical detection of these substances and recent advances in electrochemical detection
